I remember my frist real vacation was when I was eight. My mom and I took a road trip to Baltimore, Maryland to visit the new Aquarium that just opened. I remember that we had to take my grandpa’s car. It didn’t have a FM radio station so for 13 hours we listen to country music was not fun then, now we just laugh about it. Till mid-way through the road trip when we found out how to get the radio to go FM radio station. We finally get there around eight o’clock at night. We went to our hotel room and get settled in and rest up for tomorrow. I was so tired that I passed out right when my head hit the pillow.
The next day comes we wake up around ten o’clock get breakfast and we start our day. We went out to the paddle boats and paddled out on the Chesapeake Bay. Watched the mimes perform on the corners of the streets waiting for the Aquarium to open up at two o’clock. I loved that place except the shark tank where one of the sharks chased me down through the glass just staring at me I didn’t like that I got scared and ran through the shark section to the other section. I laughing and crying my mom was just laughing. My favorite section that they had was the reptile section I help a snake for the first time I loved it my mother hates snakes so wouldn’t come near the snakes. It took us two hours just to walk to all of the sections of the Aquarium I ran to the gift shop and bought a seal stuffed animal and when you pressed his stomach he honked. I still have that seal.
On the way home we took a lot of short cuts through Williamsburg we eat lunch at Cracker Barrel. At Crack Barrel I had the egg breakfast and my mom always got a BLT. After we ate we stopped in to the gift shop they have in the front of the restaurant and she got me this sun with jewels on the tips of the sun. On our way back to my grandpa’s house to drop off his car, my mom hit some button and found the FM radio station we were very happy. We drop off my grandpa’s car and get our jeep and head home the whole trip from Maryland to home was 8 hours. That was the best vacation I ever had. I want to do it again some day.
